Job Description :
Minimum Requirements:
-5+ years of data-related experience.
-Good communication skills, comfortable using tools such as Skype for meetings and technical discussions
-Able to work independently based on standards and documentation
-Able to recommend and implement technical improvements without being requested
-Open to exploring and implementing different data platforms as needed.
Soft Skills:
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
-Ability to work with little supervision
-Problem solving. Ability to find solutions if a given set of instructions cannot be followed by-the-book
-Must-have experience and tools:
-Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or newer:
-Database administration (installation, configuration, security, replication, change tracking)
-Database monitoring (SQL Trace, Extended Events, DMVs, Performance Monitor)
-SQL Server replication (create and modify Snapshot and Transactional publications)
-Troubleshooting deadlocks and blocking
-SQL Server Integration Services
-SQL Server Analysis Services (preferred)
-SQL Agent jobs, schedules, alerts and Database Mail
-T-SQL language
-Query fine-tuningVisual Studio
Responsibilities:
-Support multiple solution analysts across different databases on data modeling, design and implementation.
-Create and support ETLs and other integration requests such as delta change loads (Change Tracking/CDC) or procedures.
-Create and support large amount of complex SQL Agent jobs.
-Manage database security based on standards defined by System DBA.
-Fine-tune queries based on data customer needs and System DBA recommendations.
-Implement and monitor SQL to SQL replication.
-Support release of database objects to production environments.
-Be on-call on a rotating basis for overnight processes support
