Job Summary
AECOM India is seeking an experienced and proven professional for Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be based at our Kolkata Office.
As a Geotechnical engineer you should have experienced with knowledge of geotechnical Investigation planning, Interpretation of data, pile & shallow foundation design, deep excavation, slope stability and ground improvement design. Knowledge in tunneling design will be considered as advantage.
Job Duties:
• Good knowledge in soil mechanics, rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering
• Responsible for planning of geotechnical investigation, preparation of specification and BOQ. Review and interpretation of data, coordinate with investigation team and approve the investigation report.
• Must have design knowledge on foundation design, deep excavation, high embankment, seepage and slope stability numerical analysis of soil structure interaction problems with using standard software s like PLAXIS, Wallap, SLIDE, SLOPE/W and SEEP/W.
• Work effectively and proactively with team members for preparation of design drawings, calculations and design reports.
• Able to work with other design disciplines to meet the design requirements.
• Design knowledge on Tunnel and Marine projects will be preferred
• Knowledge in Indian and International codes / standards
• Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy
Specific Skills Required:
• The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and within groups.
• Proactively work with team members, Identify necessary changes in design deliverables and assist to find resolution.
• Able to plan assigned work to ensure timely delivery
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Masters in Geotechnical Engineering.
• The ideal candidate should have at least 12-15 years of experience in Geotech in underground metro.
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills.
• Prior experience in similar projects.
