Job Description :
1. PRE-REQUISITE:
Strong communication and presentation skills
General Networking product and technology knowledge is a must, Juniper knowledge is a plus
Prior experience of design and architecture work in large ISP networks
Strong knowledge in routing and switching protocol
BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, Multicast
Strong knowledge of LAN technologies
LAN design standards and best practices
Basic security standards, design and best practices
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall capacity planning, footprint expansion and architecture of the Backbone network
Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies
Designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities
Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system
Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including configurations, and supports/troubleshoots network problems
Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods
Prepares the analysis of the capacity needs for network infrastructure
New product and vendor analysis
Any additional task given to the incumbent from time to time based on business needs
3. TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Cisco or Juniper 'E' level certification is a plus
Additional security and VoIP certification is a plus
Juniper, M-series, T-series
CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE
4. EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 7 years of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability to work in a complex network environment
5. EDUCATION:
Bachelor in Engineering
6. TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS:
Ability to communicate well with client and business unit leads
Ability to set direction, prioritize work and resources based on business and client needs
Participate in network design and strategy forums, set directions and provide recommendation
Develop and implement standards and procedures as it relates to Network Technologies and Infrastructure
Accountable for product requirement analysis, technical solutions and implementation strategy
Some knowledge of VoIP, Video and content delivery
Experience with scripting a plus
Prior experience with IPv6 a plus
Experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Virtualization a plus
