Job Description :
-Good experience in MySQL, knowledge of Redis, Elastic Search & Mongo DB
-Should be able to write complex queries
-Design, Setup and installation of MySQL Servers
-MySQL Upgrades, cluster Design, planning, configuration and installation
-MySQL Replication (circular, master-slave topologies)
-MySQL backup and restore processes
-Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures.
-Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance.
-Experience administering MySQL server including;
oAspects of installation and configuration
oPerformance tuning, monitoring, query
optimization & index tuning
oWorking experience of HA solutions
-Demonstrable experience of administering Linux based systems.
-Ability to use scripting language for automation.
-Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying and applying fixes for known errors, and when necessary, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues.
-Working experience in a distributed environment where e-mail, instant messaging and voice calls are the only interactions with clients, colleagues and managers on a daily basis.
-Experience with Galera/XtraDB Cluster, & HAProxy
-Experience running on Cloud Services such as AWS and RDS/Aurora or hosting providers like Rackspace
-Experience with Nagios, Percona Monitoring Plugins, Prometheus, and other monitoring tools.
-Experience of configuration management solutions such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
