Responsibilities:
The post holder will lead on development and implementation of a professional business development strategy for Examinations Services in the region (North India) that is insight led, in line with the national strategy and ensure business objectives and targets are met.
Applicants should have minimum five years experience in business development and leading teams preferably in the education sector and must possess degree with a post graduate qualification in Sales / Marketing.
Annual Business Development Action Plan for the region is developed in consultation with Assistant Director Exams Business Development India and other marketing leads ensuring that it is in sync with the All India Exams Marketing and Business Development Plan
Identify and pursue business expansion opportunities with-in existing channels as well as identify new ones
To provide leadership, advice and support to the exams business development team in the region ensuring strong buy-in to the vision of India exams
Annual Business Development Action Plan for the region is developed in consultation with Assistant Director Exams Business Development India and other marketing leads ensuring that it is in sync with the All India Exams Marketing and Business Development Plan
Provide inputs for the India Examinations Business and Marketing Plans as per the planning cycle and within deadlines
Implementing the agreed regional Business Development to ensure that agreed targets for the region are met.
Design the business forecast based on market inputs and potential of the region, adjust these on a regular basis based on market dynamics
Risks and opportunities to Exams business are identified and reported in line with required timetables and actions followed up on as required
Identify and pursue business expansion opportunities with-in existing channels as well as identify new ones 3 of 6
Innovative links are developed between Exams work and other SBUs within the region, particularly in the area of collaborative development of marketing intelligence and strategy
Effective working relationships are identified, developed and maintained with partners, stakeholders and clients in a manner that is recognized as high quality and adding value
Optimal management of allocated business development budget as well as assurance of successful delivery of marketing initiatives in line with the all India, regional and global strategy.
Design and deliver an engagement plan for the B2B customers in the region
Collate and share local market insights including competitors with the India exams marketing and business development team
Designing and developing regional strategies in consultation with the Indian business development team to counter competition
Customer and client support delivered meets British Council Customer Service standards, Examinations Quality Standards (QCA) and relevant exam body standards
To provide leadership, advice and support to the exams business development team in the region ensuring strong buy-in to the vision of India exams
